PLEASE! Someone tell Kay to stop saying girardi’s triple in Game 6 in 1996 was in the 7th inning. He keeps saying this over and over the last year and a half or so. I guess he cites the inning to try and sound like he is really knowdlegable because he can pinpoint the inning something happened….but it is WRONG. It happened in the third, the only inning that game where the Yankees scored. O’neill doubled, duncan advanced him to third on a grounder to second, then girardi tripled to put the Yanks up 1-0 in the THIRD inning. STOP SAYING THE SEVENTH. Someone please tell him that he is WRONG.
