Can't forget about Mo

I neglected to add one important name to my World Series MVP discussion. I listed Derek Jeter, Johnny Damon and Alex Rodriguez, and was remiss to have left out Mariano Rivera.

Rivera has been flawless in the World Series with two saves, including a six-out effort in Game 2. His ERA this postseason is 0.63 and lifetime it's 0.76.

Mike Francesa hammered the "I was right and the Yankees should have started Chad Gaudin in Game 5" theme into the ground. He went as far to suggest Rivera pitch the final three innings if Andy Pettitte and the Yankees hand him the lead. Debatable, but not far-fetched and not a bad idea, and he was spot on with this statement: Rivera is the one sure thing on both sides.

It's obviously easier said than done, but here's what the Yankees need more than anything: Light up Pedro Martinez early, leave no doubt and get 50,000-plus people ready to party.

Utley deserves it. I dislike penalzing a player for how his team plays, and he's clearly been the best player.
